Meet Thao Nguyen
Founder of Bonbon Collections
Thao Nguyen is the founder and president of Bonbon Collections, a food manufacturer specialized in vegan and top 10 allergen-free bakery products. Inspired by the food restrictions of her daughters and her beliefs in a plant-based diet, Bonbon Collections was created with a mission to offer desserts that would allow people to indulge and feel included in any celebrations that would involve food. Shaking and disrupting a trade that is centuries old, Thao is bringing pastry making in the 21st century by being at its core vegan, gluten-free, 100% natural, clean label while combining traditional trade with numerization and digitalization.
Meet Nadine Chalati
Founder and Lawyer at Chalati Lawyer
Nadine is a lawyer and the owner of the boutique law firm Chalati Lawyer. Nadine completed her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), Juris Doctor (J.D.) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Université de Montréal. Her Master of Laws discussed the responsibility attached to unmanned drones and artificially intelligence machines in the event of an aerial accident. After completing her legal studies at 23 years old, Nadine opened her law firm specializing in corporate and commercial law. Nadine regularly acts as an outside general counsel for small-to-medium sized businesses and assists not-for-profits and charities. Accentuating her practice on improving accessibility to justice and providing value to the community, Nadine also films daily legal segments on corporate and commercial law on Instagram. Finally, Nadine also co-founded the Do You Deliver Podcast, a self-growth podcast on how individuals can deliver more in life, business, health, and their relationships.
Meet Sarah Jenna
Co-founder and CEO of My Intelligent Machines (MIMs)
Sarah Jenna is the co-founder and CEO of My Intelligent Machines (MIMs) and was also an associate professor specialized in genomics and genetics at the department of biochemistry at UQÀM.
Sarah received her Ph.D. in Cell and Structural Biology, from Aix-Marseille University in France. She completed her postdoctoral training in cell signalling at McGill University and was also platform manager of the Montréal Proteomic Network. In 2006, her dual expertise in cellular and genomic signalling led her to be awarded a NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada) Junior Canada Research Chair in Integrative Genomics and Cell Signaling at UQÀM (Jennasarah.wixsite.com/jennaslab), where she also co-founded and was the director of Pharmaqam (pharmaqam.uqam.ca), a university research center focusing on drug development.
As a principal investigator at UQÀM, Sarah directed a research laboratory developing new integrative genomics strategies to better understand the functional interactions between genes in model organisms and in breast cancer in humans. As co-founder and CEO of MIMs, she translates her 20 years of experience and expertise to provide MIMs’ clients with cutting edge integrative genomics strategies & systems biology while paying particular attention to the specific needs of life scientists working in BioPharma, Agritech and research institutes.
Sarah is a board member of both CQDM and BioQuebec.
